Who the heck are these new voices sharing the mic with Sam Abuelsamid? Keep reading to find out about Nicole Wakelin and Roberto Baldwin, our newest Wheel Bearings co-hosts. We’re as excited as you are to hear more of the unique and differing perspectives these two will bring to the show.
NICOLE WAKELIN:
She writes, she shoots, she covers breaking news, auto shows, and new vehicle launches. She’s freelance automotive journalist Nicole Wakelin. Nicole speaks about all things automotive in lots of places, including podcasts, national broadcasts on NPR, and in-person at conferences (remember those?).
As a juror for the North American Car and Truck of the Year and Women’s Car of the Year, Nicole is often driving the cars everyone wants to know about the most. Look for her bylines at Autobytel, CarExpert, CarTalk, NAPA Know How Blog, DriveModeShow, The Boston Globe, Boston.com, and numerous other automotive outlets. Check out what she’s up to at NicoleWakelin.com.
ROBERTO BALDWIN:
Roberto Baldwin is a freelance automotive and tech journalist that’s at home behind both the wheel of a supercar and a soldering gun. Actually, he’s way better at driving than soldering. His work has appeared in Car and Driver, Forbes Wheels, Wired, Engadget, Outside, and a host of other publications but he can’t quite remember the names at this time.
Roberto’s writing has focused on electric vehicles, batteries, and the infrastructure needed to make the transformation of our transportation system a reality. Roberto is a juror of the World Car of the Year and was once in a Suzuki Samurai that was launched 10 feet into the air into a field by third worst driver he’s ever encountered.
