Hey,
I have a dilemma coming up in January. For years I have had VW GTI’s, every make since the MK 4. I’ve loved the hell out of them, but in January my lease is up on my MK 7 and with it bad timing in the model switch over and the whole emission debacle I am thinking of departing from VW. Added on top of the fact that I think that VW is behind the times with the tech they provide and their terrible packaging of upgrades, I want to explore something new. I love hatchbacks and we have a greyhound so I need something that has a hatch, this includes small or medium size SUV’s. The worst part of looking around at options has been the horsepower. I am use to the horsepower in the GTI and most options out there are lacking in horsepower. I’m looking to spend no more than $35,000 but I’m not opposed to cheaper options if the quality of the car is there. My husband just got a Mazda 6 and I am very impressed with the quality of the Mazda’s. Could I live with a Mazda 3 after so many GTI’s? and before you say Focus, ugh I hated it! Anyway I have always respected your opinions and figured I’d ask, any suggestions for this tough decision?
