This week our crew gathered for an evening conversation to tackle a backlog of listener questions (please keep them coming feedback at wheelbearings dot media or hit the contact us link at the top of the page) along with our usual garage segment. In the garage, both Rebecca and Sam got an early drive in the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV, the slightly more crossover-ish version of GM’s entry level electric car. A major part of the discussion centered around Super Cruise. Since her last appearance Rebecca also had the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade which provided a good opportunity for comparison of two models on the same platform. A delivery driver also had challenges getting a Volvo S90 up Rebecca’s steep driveway.
Before the Q&A we discuss changing the names of the Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee after concerns were expressed by the chief of the Cherokee Nation. In questions, we ponder the size of door openings on modern vehicles, more complaints about car dealers, life-cycle emissions of electric vs gasoline vehicles and get feedback from a listener on dealer markups and freight charges in Ontario, Canada. We also discuss searching for stuff on the Wheel Bearings site. Hint, hit the search link on the top of the page or enter your search term on google and add site:wheelbearings.media after it.
