Who Will Win The Electric Truck Battle?

This week on the show, Rebecca is a bit harried as she has lots of work and she reorganizes stuff at home. The VW Passat she’s driving didn’t do much to raise her spirits though. Sam spent a week with a very pricey 2021 Ford F-150 King Ranch hybrid and found lots to like. Meanwhile Dan made an Ikea run in the 2021 Honda Odyssey Elite.

In the news, electric pickup trucks are going to start arriving in volume this year and next from multiple manufacturers. The question is will anyone actually buy a battery-powered truck and if so which will they buy? Cox Automotive asked that question and the number that were interested in going electric was surprisingly high. Jaguar and Ford of Europe both announced plans to be all electric before the end of the decade (for cars at least).

In listener mail, we have more followup on one listener’s experience with dealers while trying to buy a Ford Mustang Mach-E as well as Rebecca’s own experience trying to buy a new car this week. We also respond to a listener’s comments about our attitude toward Tesla.
